THE REVEALER-2
2Kings 20:1 “In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die and not live.” 
 
2Kings 20:2 “Then he turned his face to the wall and prayed unto the LORD, saying,”

Daniel 2:47 “The king answered unto Daniel and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.”
 
He called him “a revealer of secrets.” We are not serving a God who keeps us in the dark about the issues of our lives. Rather, He wants us to know what the enemy is trying to do behind the scene.
 
Now hear me: what was said most times is not a problem but rather our reaction to it. Many people receive such information and begin to panic. It is not about the information per se, but what we choose to do with it. The revelation is an invitation to act or take a step in the right direction. 
 
Hezekiah could have probably been using some drugs, asking people to pray for him, and so on. He was probably hoping that one day he would recover and be fine. He was probably admiring all his “get well soon” cards and welcoming well-wishers. 
 
There was no record of him doing anything constructive until he got this message. The prophetic word always moves us into positive action. Hezekiah didn’t receive the word as mere words; he chose to do something about the word, and rather than die, he lived!
 
1Corinthians 14:3 “But when you prophesy, you will be understood, and others will be helped. They will be encouraged and made to feel better.” (CEV)
 
1Corinthians 14:3 “But the word of the prophet gives men knowledge and comfort and strength.” (BBE)
 
The revelation, or prophetic word, as the case may be, is not to destroy our confidence but to give us knowledge of what to do. Also to comfort, encourage, and strengthen us. It is also designed to make us feel better. 
 
Friend, our God, who is the Revealer, is also the Healer. Stand your ground.
