HIGHLY FAVOURED-3
Luke 1:28 “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.”

Luke 1:29 “And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.”

…From yesterday…

The angel revealed to us that it was not his intention to delay for twenty one days, as a matter of fact, immediately Daniel prayed, his answer was despatched but he (Gabriel) ran into a mob on the way that delayed him for that long.

But, what was it about the message to Mary that made her special?

Well, not only was Gabriel delayed, heaven had to send angel Michael to come rescue him. He needed serious backup before he eventually got to Daniel. It was a serious battle before the message and the messenger could be set free.

That incidence happened several years back. The man Daniel was praying and yet he had twenty one days delay but this virgin girl was just minding her business when Gabriel was despatched again only that this time around something different happened.

The angel has probably braced himself up for confrontation with the mobs of the prince of Persia or prince of Galilee. I can imagine him telling angel Michael to prepare to back him up in case such an attack comes up again. If I was Gabriel I’ll tell Michael not to leave me for twenty one days, fighting alone.

But alas, immediately Gabriel left the presence of the Father, he appeared in Nazareth in the home of this virgin girl. There were no withstanding demons on the way and no warfare was needed.

Gabriel couldn’t withhold his excitement and he expressed it in his salutation. He knew right away that Mary was special and different.

Luke 1:28 “…Hail, O favored one [endued with grace]! The Lord is with you! Blessed (favored of God) are you before all other women!” (AMP)

Gabriel revealed something to us about Mary, he made us understand that there was a force that the enemies couldn’t resist which worked for her, it is called, FAVOUR!
