Nehemiah 2:19 “But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn and despised us, and said What is this thing that ye do will ye rebel against the king?”

Friend, don’t let the mockery of men dissuade you from your dreams. Let them mock all they want, what matters is your result.

Hera this:

Psalms 1:1 “BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.”

Psalms 1:3 “And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].” (AMP)

In Psalms 1:1-3, David actually showed us something interesting here; another word for mockery is scorn or ridicule. David showed us that as long as we don’t listen or stand with scorners and mockers there is only one possible outcome, fruitfulness or prosperity.

It’s high time you close your ears to the voice of mockery and concentrate on your result. The interesting thing is this, if you’re stagnant you’ll be mocked, if you’re making progress you’ll be mocked, so why don’t you just make progress?

They laughed Nehemiah and his co-workers to scorn and despised them but they kept at it. Once you start a project, you don’t need to invite the mockers; Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem will show up, it is however your responsibility to keep going in spite of them!

Friend, identify them, shut them down and forge ahead. The worst thing that can happen to you is to keep them on your team. You must therefore keep them at arm’s length.

Guess what? The last time I checked, mockery was not written on anybody’s result. Those that laugh at you will laugh with you, keep working, and keep faith!
