ASK FOR TIME-2
1Samuel 11:3 “And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days’ respite that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee.”

…From yesterday…

If you’re working in a company for example, earning one thousand five hundred dollars a month and somebody just came to offer you three times that amount for you to come work for him, don’t jump at it!

Ask those questions! Bring every offer under the scrutiny of the Holy Ghost. You must know that, it is not every door that is opened that is meant for you to enter. Hear this:

Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

In order words, there is a door that seems opened but entering into it will only lead to disaster.

Someone said, “The problem God has with a believer is not choosing between right and wrong, but between what is good and what His will is”. It might look right and good but the question is; is it God’s will? That’s an acid test before speaking or signing treaties.

Hear what Solomon said:

Proverebs 15:28 “The heart of the righteous studieth to answer but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.”

Don’t ever rush into giving an answer, you must study and consider carefully before speaking. James also has this to say along that line:

James 1:19 “My dear friends, you should be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get angry.” (CEV)

James 1:19 “Remember this, my dear friends! Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry.” (GNT)

Friends, when confused, stay calm and buy time. Every wise man knows this. Don’t ever make a decision only to come back to flog yourself. Hear Daniel:

Daniel 2:16 “Then Daniel went in and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.”

Beloved, learn to think matters through, know how to use time to your advantage!
