​People that hinder us: THE OLD PROPHET-4

Galatians 5: 7 “Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?”

So how do I handle them?

To handle them, you must first and foremost master the DETAILS of the instruction that God gave to you. If they tell you this is the company’s policy, look for a way to read it yourself. Don’t swallow all they tell you verbatim, confirm and reconfirm!

Friend, write down the instructions given to you by God and recite it to yourself over and over again. Know the difference between the voice of Jesus who is your shepherd and the voice of the stranger.

John 10:5 “And a stranger will they not follow but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”

John 10:3 “To him the porter openeth and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out”

John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”

The young prophet said, “God told me”, while the old prophet said an angel gave him a different message, but unfortunately the young prophet couldn’t discern between voices.

Beloved, know the voice of God so well that you can always pick out a stranger’s voice.

Secondly, learn to know the difference between private instructions and public ones. There are peculiar instructions from God which are meant for your private consumption and should be treated with utmost secrecy. 

There are specific instructions meant for your safety and should never become public knowledge. 

By and large be sensitive and never let anything pitch you against God. The young prophet was pitched against God and he wilfully obliged. 

Nothing in your life must take the place of God’s instruction. The instructions we get from the scriptures are not suggestions but orders and should be treated as such. Never you debate them!
