THE SAME MESSENGER-2
2Kings 20:4 “And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,” 
 
2Kings 20:5 “Turn again, and tell Hezekiah, the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David, thy father; I have heard thy prayer; I have seen thy tears; behold, I will heal thee; on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”
 
…From yesterday…
 
Mark 10:49 “Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Cheer up!” they said. “Get up; he is calling you.”” (GNT)
 
Blind Bartimaeus was calling to the Master for help, but the people hushed him. They told him to keep quiet and not disturb Jesus. 
 
I guess this was the case of King Hezekiah too. After Isaiah had spoken, even if the prophet heard him praying, he would have told him to keep quiet and obey the word of God from his mouth. Everyone who heard Bartimaeus and Hezekiah pray would have said the same.
 
But just like Bartimaeus, King Hezekiah prayed and didn’t keep quiet. 
 
Guess what happened to Bartimaeus? The same people who told him to keep quiet came back and told him to cheer up! The same messengers who told him to continue in his suffering came back to announce the good news. 
 
Beloved, I know you have tried that exam and venture and failed, but I want you to brace up, pick up courage, and give it another shot. The place of failure can become your place of success. The people who failed you will still be the ones to pass you. 
 
Joshua 7:4 “So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men, and they fled before the men of Ai.”
 
The children of Israel attacked a country called Ai and were roundly defeated. All hope seemed lost, but then God showed up and encouraged Joshua and his men. They rose up once again and returned to the place of failure, and they won!
 
Joshua 8:28 “And Joshua burnt Ai and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day.”
 
The same place where they failed is where they succeeded. Friend, rise up and go back to that same place where they have rejected you. It is not about the messengers; it is all about the God who changes things!
