FAITH AND INSTRUCTION-2
Luke 17:14 “And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass that, as they went, they were cleansed”

What Jesus asked them to do was not an easy task but they made up their minds to go all the same. It takes courage and faith to obey God’s instructions and you must know it!

Friend, the reason why many people fail in the place of prayer is not because they didn’t hear the instructions of God, they know that the Bible is our instruction manual but the challenge is that, they couldn’t take the necessary steps towards the miracle.

The ability to act on the instructions given in what is called faith. These lepers took a leap of faith. They refused to let the risks involved in the venture stop them.

Acting upon the word of God is something nobody can do for you. Hear this:

Habakkuk 2:4 “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.”

Hebrews 10:38 “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”

If the just shall live by faith, it simply means faith to the believer is as vital as oxygen to man. A believer cannot exist without it. It is our life line.

These lepers didn’t just hear a good sermon loaded with instructions, they figured out what needed to be done and did it. They didn’t procrastinate, they took that step immediately.

One challenge many have after receiving such instructions and acting in faith is that they check out their situation and if it has not changed, they get discouraged and stop acting in faith.

These lepers were still leprous after setting out to meet with the priests but they didn’t quit. They ignored their feelings and kept going. That you still feel feverish after standing in faith on the word of God does not mean you’re still sick!

Faith is not a feeling, it is a spiritual actuality that transcends physical realities. Do not let your feelings deceive you, hold on to your confession of faith.
