Nehemiah 1:1 “The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,”

Nehemiah 1:2 “That Hanani, one of my brethren, came he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.”

…From yesterday…

God brought you to a place of honour in order for you to bring others as well. Hear this:

Obadiah 1:21 “And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.”

I want you to know that you’re a potential saviour. God relies heavily on you to rescue others. Don’t get to a place of power and forget who raised you and why you were raised.

In Obadiah 1:21, the mission is very clear; you are raised as a savior to raise others, then act as a judge against every other mountain that is operating contrary to the agenda of God and then establish the Kingdom of God.

Nehemiah was very clear about his mission and it showed in his passion. We have watched with bewilderment how many has been raised by God only to claim they don’t know Him again.

We have seen musicians who were raised and trained in churches quit, only to start singing the praises of the devil. We have seen so called saviours become oppressors and tyrants.

Friend, don’t be raised only to start pulling others down. You should raise others as well.

Nehemiah demonstrated great love and compassion for his people. He genuinely loved them. His concern for them was second to none. I’ve seen men who were raised only to start claiming they never had anything to do with their root. Some outrightly deny their parents, family and friends.

When you show genuine compassion for others, your name will forever be written in gold. Success is not just about you; you were raised because God had others in mind as well.

Remember, a lamp was lit not for itself but to illuminate others!
