Psalm 23: Nothing to fear

Psalm 23: Nothing to fear

Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

In the past two days, we’ve been talking about Dark places and how our shepherd sees in the dark the same way he sees in light. We saw from scriptures that the road map and secrets of darkness are with our shepherd. We saw how he discomfited the devil in his own domain.

We saw all that but I want you to know that all that won’t work for you if you don’t walk in the conciousness of it.

In our focal scripture, King David gave us two reasons why we shouldn’t fear the valley of the shadow of death.

One, we must realise our shepherd is with us. Walking in this conciousness brings courage, boldness and strength to us. How will you feel traveling at night with military special forces as your escorts?

I guess you’ll feel safe, but friend, how about having the one that silenced the devil who is the master of darkness in his domain, as your guard? Do you know he is ever with you?

You must come to the place where you know and know he is with you. Confess his presence daily and watch him practically travel with you. He traveled with Moses and the children of Israel and guess what? The red sea and river Jordan parted on sighting him.

The reason why you’re afraid is simply because you don’t walk in this conciousness. I have seen him travel with me severally and help me face dark moments without an iota of fear. You need to let this be your new normal every day.

Secondly, David said, “His rod and staff makes me feel secure”. The safest place to be is in his word. The staff and rod simply represents the word of God, There is a boldness that comes upon you when you know what he says about your “dark situation.”

How much of his word (rod and staff) reside in you?

Beloved, evil is real, but much more real is the reality of our shepherd walking with us.

Love you BiG!
