YOKE OF SLAVERY-1
2Kings 4:1 “Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.”
 
This son of the prophet died, and the creditor waited for the man to pass before activating a negative covenant. He didn’t do anything to the man while he was alive but waited for his demise so that he could enslave the sons.
 
The children of this “son of the prophet” were freeborn, but the enemy came and decided to make them slaves. He wanted to place the yoke of slavery on them even though they were not born slaves. They were used to their freedom, but it was about to be taken away from them when their father died. 
 
A slave is one who has no will of his own. He does not determine where to go or when to go. He is limited in life and destiny. Unfortunately for these boys, they were about to become legal slaves due to no fault of theirs.
 
Matthew 18:25 “But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.”
 
It was a written law, and the creditor has every right to enslave them. The creditor didn’t enforce his right over the boys before their father’s death, but now he came to claim their services, to which he was by law entitled. 
 
Beloved, the strategy of the devil is always to trap a man, bind him, and make him his slave. The enemy is out there trying to make a freeborn his slave, thereby limiting him and stopping his progress and advancement, but I have news for you, child of God: you will not become a slave to sickness, debt, stagnation, disappointments, and failure.
 
The plot of darkness to limit you is shattered now. You will not move from relevance to irrelevance. Your destiny will not be exchanged for peanuts. You will not serve your enemies. You will not serve Pharaoh nor go down to Egypt in Jesus’ name.
