THE MAIN FEAST-5
John 5:1 “After this, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.”

Another thing that gets you set for this marriage feast is righteousness. Apostle John put it this way: 
 
Revelation 19:8 “And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”
 
Paul also said: 
 
Ephesians 5:27 “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
 
Getting born again places the righteousness of Christ on us as a clean garment, but the onus is on us to keep it white and clean. The wise King Solomon had this to say long before the Apostles:
 
Ecclesiastes 9:8 “Let thy garments be always white, and let thy head lack no ointment.”
 
Holiness is still a must in this kingdom; running away from sin is still in vogue; never forget that! 
 
The third thing I will like to add is the wisdom to be ready. The major challenge of this forthcoming feast is that it will come when we least expect it! This concept was well captured in the story of the wise and foolish virgins.
 
Matthew 25:10 “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.” 
 
Matthew 25:13 “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
 
We don’t know the time, but it is definitely going to happen, so we must leave prepared. The foolish virgins did well until the last moments, and they eventually lost out. The Bible called them foolish virgins; it therefore implies that we must keep the oil in our lamp burning. People who miss this party are doomed forever.
 
We must therefore stay alert and vigilant. If God delights in throwing parties for us here on earth, how do you think the one in His Kingdom will look? The marriage supper of the Lamb is a glorious celebration of all who are in Christ; don’t miss it!
