Luke 24:22 “Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;”
Luke 24:23 “And when they found not his body, they came, saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.”
Luke 24:24 “And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre and found it even so as the women had said; but him they saw not.”
…From yesterday…
John 20:29 “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed.”
The greatest level of demonstration of faith is to believe and act even though nothing around you physically points to the fact. Jesus made it categorically clear that there is a special blessing that accrues to anyone who believes without seeing.
Many people are called believers, but their actions don’t portray someone who believes. Actions that align with your faith are essential. If you believe God for healing of a pain in your leg, for instance, and you release your faith, we will know you actually believe if you then attempt to walk with it!
If you believe God for a car, for instance, and you release your faith, you’ll simply walk into a car dealership shop and price the one you like. You cannot be going about claiming you have faith and acting in a contrary manner.
Saint Augustine once said, “Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.”
One reason many people don’t believe in God is because He is invisible. It takes faith to believe He actually exists.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith, it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Everyone who has astounding miracles in the scripture and in our contemporary day were men and women who walked and believed in the “Invisible God.”
Faith is insisting on the performance of the word of God in our lives in the place of prayer and rising up to act on what we believe!
