2Kings 7:1 “Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.”

The Prophet Elisha told them that famine will be over in just twenty four hours!

We don’t know specifically for how long the siege and famine had been happening but true to the word of the Lord, it was over in twenty four hours. In my experience as a pastor, I have seen age long challenges disappear in the twinkle of an eye.

I have seen mountains collapse in twenty four hours. I have seen men enjoy miracles and wonders under twenty four hours.

Once the word of God goes ahead of us, anything is possible, it’s as simple as that. Twenty four hours is tantamount to a day and I have come to appreciate the power of one day.

No matter the challenge confronting you, it can vamoose under a day. The term “by this time tomorrow” is a powerful phrase in the dictionary of heaven. Between the rising and setting of the sun is enough power to change your entire world!

In Genesis 1 during the creation of the earth, each twenty four hour gave birth to amazing wonders. Once a new day breaks, new things takes place. God intentionally breaks the creation details into the time frame to let us understand how powerful each twenty four hours is.

If you can properly maximize your twenty four hours and be patient, you will see miracles that will shock you. I noticed the occurrence of a particular phrase in Genesis 1, let me share it with you:

Genesis 1:5 “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

Genesis 1:8 “And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

Genesis 1:13 “And the evening and the morning were the third day.”

God always ends with the term and “the evening and the morning,” followed by the next day, why? Have you ever given it a thought?

To be continued…
