2Kings 6:6 “And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.”

2Kings 6:7 “Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.”

As we bring this meditation to a pause, I want you to know that water also represents the word of God.

Ephesians 5:26 “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,”

The axe head went down to the bottom of the river but when the stick was thrown at it, the iron axe head floated. To the amazement of every one of the sons of prophets present that day the weight of the axe head didn’t matter as it was easily carried by the water.

Hear me, no matter what the weight of the problem is, it will float when surrendered to God! The magnitude of the problem doesn’t matter when the Almighty is involved. God is not afraid of the weight!

The reason things weigh you down is because of the person carrying it. I saw in this passage an iron axe head that was “weighed down” by problems and challenges, remember that this implement was borrowed in the first place. The young prophet needed something to solve his problems so went and took “a loan”. His intention was to build and return it when done but it fell off the handle.

That iron axe head was a load when it fell and the guy shouted and cried but when Elisha threw in the stick, it started swimming on water. The challenges that looks insurmountable to you is a piece of cake to someone else.

A load is only heavy in reference to the person carrying it. The same load you’re breathing heavily under is what somebody else will carry with one hand. All the money you’re looking for to solve your immediate problem is what someone else will use to throw an hour birthday party with his friends.

To be continued…
