…From yesterday…

Hear me, in a time of crisis, our loving heavenly Father does not want us to be passive spectators. Instead, He graciously allows us to partner with Him in what He does to solve our problems and meet our needs. He does for us what is impossible for us to do; but then calls upon us to rise up afterward and do what we justifiably can do in response.

The call to Christianity is not one sided, it is called a covenant which connotes a partnership with divinity. God does his side and expects us to faithfully do ours as well.

You cannot sit down and expects God to take care of His side and come down to handle yours as well. The word “supernatural” still contains “natural”. There is something within the natural jurisdiction of man and some others outside it. You cannot hang around God and be lazy.

Psalms 119:89 LAMED. “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”

The word of God is forever settled in heaven but it is a different ball game for it to be settled on earth. If it will be settled in our lives we must play our part in enforcing it through prayers, fasting and declarations. Things don’t just happen, they are made to.

The young prophet could have asked Elijah to help pick it up but he stretched out his hand and picked it. He knew that this is what divine partnership is all about.

1Corinthians 3:6 “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”

1Corinthians 3:9 “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”

We are in partnership with God and every one of us have our roles to play. God expects us therefore to labour together with Him to bring miracles to pass on earth.

Things don’t just happen on earth because God said it, they happen because a man decided to pray and enforce it on earth. When you understand this, you will take your prayer life serious.
