THE POWER OF A SEED
2Kings 6:6 “And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.”

Beloved, some things will not float until something leaves your hand. There is power in a seed because it forces harvest to come to us.

Elisha wanted the axe head to float but he didn’t jump into the river, he simply took something and threw into the river and the axe head came to the surface. The young prophet was felling a tree when the axe head fell into the river, all Elisha did was cut a stick and threw into the river.

A stick is just a small piece from a tree and this represents a seed. When God want to start a miracle, he demands a seed from us. That is equally a universal principle. Each time we activate the law of the seed, we are sure of reaping a harvest. Hear what Moses said:

Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

Prophet Elijah threw something at the problem and it gave way to a solution. All through scriptures we saw this play out.

Mark 6:37 “He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?”

Mark 6:38 “He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.”

In the miracle of feeding the five thousand, Jesus had to hold a seed of five loaves and two fishes and the harvest came forth.

Hear me, when something leaves your hand, something equally leaves the hand of God. When there is a challenge, wisdom demands that you quickly look for something to throw at it.

Let me bring it home; when a challenge arise in your career for example, look for a book and get wisdom to throw at it. You can equally look for a training to attend, a certification to do but there is definitely something to throw at it.
