2Kings 6:5 “But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.”

2Kings 6:6 “And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.”

…From yesterday…

Beloved, a man travelling on a journey didn’t just miss his way, if you carefully trace it back, there was a place he missed a turn or made a wrong turn.

King Saul was beloved of God and followed Him diligently until a day his axe head fell. God gave him a specific instruction and he flaunt it. He bluntly disobeyed God and lost out of the eternal plan for Israel.

There is a thin line between standing in faith and falling from grace; that is why we must be very careful. The truth is that better men than us have fallen and missed it. Samson though powerful fell, the great King Saul fell, Esau missed it, and even Judas Iscariot the treasurer of Jesus’ ministry also fell. Hear what Paul has got to say:

1Corinthians 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”

1Corinthians 10:12 “Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence.” (MSG)

So, friend, “Where did you fall?” “Where and when did you lose your axe head?”

That bitterness, envy, disobedience, malice, lies and so on that started like a joke are critical points of falling. The earlier you trace your step back the better. Until you point out where “it fell”, recovery will be difficult!

I also want you to know that it may not just be about where you fall and what happened, it could be about who! Hear this:

Galatians 5:7 “Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?”

So many people fell because another person came into their life. It took the introduction of Delilah to stop Samson. It took Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus.

Beloved, who made you fall? What happened? Where and how did you fall? It’s time to trace your way back!
