THE NEED FOR WORK-3
2Kings 6:2 “Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.”

2Kings 6:4 “So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.”

2Kings 6:5 “But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.”

…From yesterday…

In their days, Abraham and Isaac were the richest and all they did was rearing animals. Isaac was even richer than a whole country! It is not about what you do but about the blessing of God resting upon it.

1Corinthians 4:12 “And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:”

Ephesians 4:28 “Did you used to make ends meet by stealing? Well, no more! Get an honest job so that you can help others who can’t work.” (MSG)

Paul told us here that we must work hard, he even advised thieves to steal no more but rather get down to work. He knew that once a man starts to work, he provides an atmosphere for the supernatural move of God.

God is looking for people’s hands to place his blessings. If you are idle you limit what God can do in your life. Here is another thing Paul said:

2 Thessalonians 3:10 “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

If you don’t work, you will not eat because God has nothing to use as a medium or channel for blessing you.

Beloved, many people have refused to work simply because of laziness. This has been the bane of many including Christians, and you must therefore kill it before it kills you.

Proverbs 21:25 “Lazy people finally die of hunger because they won’t get up and go to work.” (MSG)

Friend, it is high time you give God room to work in your life, so, go to work and please work hard!
