REPEATING ERROR-4
REPEATING ERROR-4
2Samuel 5:22 “And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.”
…Froom yesterday…
I once read a story about a particular driver. In September 2019, he suddenly stopped the bus he was driving in downtown Seoul. The driver asked the passengers to excuse him, and he ran outside. It was to save a woman in her 60s who had fallen in the street.
The woman had not recovered her consciousness although some other passersby had been trying to help her. The bus driver immediately started CPR on her. After a few minutes, she recovered her consciousness and started breathing again. Then the bus driver asked one of the passersby there to stay with her until the ambulance arrived, and he returned to his bus. The passengers were moved by the act of the driver who saved the woman’s life with quick thinking.
The reason why he responded to the situation as soon as he saw the fallen pedestrian was revealed through his interview soon after the incident.
“I lost my wife from a stroke back in March. Even now I feel choked up when I think that she might have lived if I had been with her.”
He has learnt to respond better to people in dire need for medical attention because of a negative experience. That was a man who had picked lessons from a bitter experience.
He was not like the Philistines, who lost a major battle using a particular tactics but continued using it. I want you to know that; it is not a big deal when we fall, but it becomes a major challenge if we rise without picking anything on our way up.
We must not be like the Philistines. Each time we don’t get a proposed outcome, we must prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to show us what we missed.
Like I said earlier, the religious bigots in the days of Jesus had issues with his teachings because they couldn’t change their minds about things. That was why the central theme of Jesus’ message on earth was “repent”, which simply means “to change”.
Beloved, check your tactics as you go out today, what do you need to change, rework or modify?
Love you BiG
