BAALPERAZIM-3
2Samuel 5:19 “And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.”

2Samuel 5:20 “And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.”

…From yesterday…

The Philistines therefore moved quickly to contain David. Their spreading out was to surround him and limit him. But then, they never envisaged the outcome that befell them. They didn’t see God coming!

When the Lord told David to attack, he and his army moved in, but the result was so devastating for the Philistines and David likened it to Baalperazim, meaning a breaking forth upon the enemies, like a rushing water shattering a dam.

Hear me: The Lord will embarrass your enemies! If they had known who you are, they would have stayed away from you. You are not ordinary. You cannot be contained. You cannot be restricted and limited. They surrounded David and thought they have contained him just like a pool of water that has been kept in a dam.

A dam is a barrier controlling flow of water. It is usually a barrier of concrete or earth that is built across a river or stream to obstruct or control the flow of water, especially in order to create a reservoir.

They heard that David was anointed and they came:

2Samuel 5:17 “But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.”

The anointing on the young man attracted them but they didn’t know the anointing is a dangerous tool deployed by heaven. The anointing is God himself working in a man. It is a deployment of the executive arm of the government of heaven at work in a mortal man.

What is in us as children of God is the anointing of the Holy Ghost. It is a flow that breaks yoke.
