OPEN THE TREASURY-1
Matthew 2:11 “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.”

I just can’t stop being fascinated by these wise men. Another interesting thing they did was that they opened “their treasures” and offered gifts to the King of kings.

They met with God and didn’t hold anything back. They gave their very best to the Creator who has graciously blessed us with all things. I know many people claim to love Jesus but what really betrays the love they claim to have for him is how they respond when it comes to releasing their substance.

Several people love the Lord as long as it doesn’t touch their pocket! Their spiritual head becomes their enemy immediately he mentions the word “give”; that shows “how wise” many believers truly are.

These folks travelled for about two (2) solid years carrying precious gifts for the Saviour. They surely understood so many things about God. They knew that God owes no man and whatever you give to him multiplies! Hear this:

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

Nobody gives and reduce; whatever you give to God multiplies and returns back to you in multiple folds. The wise men didn’t just give God gifts, they gave their very best. The Bible says they opened their treasures, you don’t refer to ordinary or common things as treasures.

The most important thing to them were the things they offered to Jesus. When you give God your best, He gives you His best and trust me there is surely nothing like God’s best; the wise men understood this.

Malachi 1:7 “Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.
