Luke 13:10 “And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.”

Luke 13:11 “And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.”

…From yesterday…

King David reiterates same:

Psalms 27:14 “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Psalms 27:14 “Stay with GOD! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with GOD.” (MSG)

Friend, what challenge has kept you away from God’s presence? I have heard people say they are tired of church because of one issue or the other and so they stayed off.

The strategy of the devil is to isolate a man and then attack him. The devil is also an expert in giving men demonic alternatives. He want to entice men away and pitch him against God. Don’t fall for his antics. There is no problem that our God cannot handle if and only if you stay with him.

This woman was in pain but she kept going to God’s presence. It was a case of if God didn’t do it, then no one else could. She kept at it and her miracle eventually happened.

People brought all manner of suggestions to Job but he didn’t bulge. His wife even asked him to curse God:

Job 2:9 “Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.”

Beloved, don’t give up on God. His help is sure and certain. Don’t embrace a demonic alternative. This woman even has a seemingly “unfair pastor” but she kept her gaze on God not on the pastor. When Jesus healed her, the pastor was angry and protested that Jesus was healing on the Sabbath, which shows that he didn’t care much about her healing all along but she looked beyond the man’s weakness unto Jesus.

On this particular day, Jesus was teaching and she went to listen to the teaching of the word. Don’t joke with the word, your healing, breakthrough, deliverance, progress and prosperity lies in it. Stay persistent with the word.
