Luke 1:28 “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.”

Luke 1:29 “And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.”

…From yesterday…

What do I say about Joseph?

Genesis 37:28 “Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.”

Genesis 39:1 “And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.”

Genesis 39:2 “And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”

The young man was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. Meanwhile, God had given him a vision of where he was taking him to. He knew he will one day become a ruler and administrator.

Everyone in his lineage including his father and brothers had been farmers and shepherds but God chose to separate him amongst his family. The journey to the throne of Egypt was definitely not a rosy one but he got there.

The Mary our focal scripture said was blessed and distinguished among women had her fair share of challenges. The young woman had to cope with the stigma of getting pregnant outside wedlock. She had to cope with the reproach of probably hiding away from public view and gossipers.

It is said that, “If you want to have what no one has ever had, you must be prepared to do what no one has ever done!”

Friend, has it ever occurred to you that the challenges you’re currently facing could be an indicator to what God want to do with your life? Could it be that the reproaches of men is to launch you into greatness?

What has God been telling you to attempt that doesn’t seem to make sense to you? It is high time you understand this truth and step out in faith.

To be “blessed among women” is to trust God wholly and dare the impossible!
