Luke 2:48 “And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.”

…From yesterday…

This was an encounter between God and Moses. He introduced Himself to Moses as “I AM”. Moses operated with that name and was getting results but one day, he had the above conversation with God (Exodus 6:3).

Even though God is “I AM”, he had other names! He then took Moses down memory lane to the name Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew him as, before introducing to him yet another name of His, JEHOVAH!

Beloved, you might have known him as your Saviour, but I want you to know He is equally our Healer, Defender, Lord, Master, Protector, Provider and so on. He is everything we can ever think of or want. The more you know Him, the more he reveals!

In our focal scripture for the day, the parents of Jesus “saw him and were amazed”. The side of God you are enjoying is the side you know but then there is more to God than meet the eyes. Whatever you have known about Him is infinitesimal compared to what you don’t know yet.

I always marvel at this statement by Apostle Paul, which I have shared before:

Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”

Bible scholars told us from history that, Paul made the above statement after thirty eight (38) years in ministry! The question you ask yourself is, What has he been doing or “learning” in all those years?

Paul knew that the knowledge of God is much more than the ocean. The more you fetch out of it, the more it fills up. You can never exhaust God.

Friend, that area of life where you have a challenge that seems to persist, is definitely an area to know more. When you know how God operates in such area, the mountain will definitely become a valley, Selah!
