Mark 5:1 “And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.”

Mark 5:2 “And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,”

If the devil didn’t stop you on the way, he will show up when you arrive! One thing a believer must be weary of is letting down his guard when he arrives at his destination. The devil is a never giving up entity and we must constantly discover and repel his moves.

In our focal scripture, the Bible says, “…when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,”

The key word here is “immediately”! The devil didn’t wait for Jesus to settle down, he attacked him immediately he got to the place of accomplishment.

Friend, have you ever attended a church service, where the pastor preached good, excellent praise/worship session and your spirit lifted high only for you to get home and feel depressed?

Here is the gist:

Mark 4:15 “And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.”

When you receive the word of God and got excited, the devil knows that your victory is guaranteed. He knows that as long as you stand in faith and confession of the word, nothing will stop you, so he quickly show up to take your word of liberation and replace it with fear and anxiety.

You must be ready to confront the enemy squarely and stand your ground in faith. It will take twice the energy you expel in achieving a great feat to maintain it.

If you prayed, fasted and confessed the word in order to achieve success, once it gets into your hand, continue in faith. If you study Jesus’ actions all through his earthly ministry, you’ll see this principle at play.

Mark 6:46 “And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.”

The account of Mark 6:46 occurred immediately after the miracle of feeding the five thousand.
