1Samuel 16:2 “And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.”

God is a master planner and the earlier you learn this the better. Saul was still on the throne when God asked Samuel to go anoint another king in the house of Jesse. Samuel knew that if he did it, Saul will definitely kill him so he cried out to God.

God agreed with him but rather than tell Samuel to desist from the plan, he gave him a strategy. Our God is a master strategist, rather than change plans, He changes strategy and methods.

The dictionary defines strategy as a carefully devised plan of action to achieve a goal, or the art of developing or carrying out such a plan. God knows the best way to get whatever you’re looking for. He is never void of plan and tactics.

Hear this:

Isaiah 14:24 “GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies speaks: “Exactly as I planned, it will happen. Following my blueprints, it will take shape.” (MSG)

As men, we are too limited in thought and views but God is limitless. He planned the construction of the heaven and the whole earth and put everything in place in six days. He sure knows how to outwit the devil and every enemy that comes up against us.

It will be an error to try and figure things out all by ourselves. Many people go through untold hardship and stress all because they don’t ask for strategy. The fact that God appeared to you and gave you a vision doesn’t mean you should just jump out without asking questions.

I remember hearing the story of a man that works in a particular organization in Africa.

One day, he had a dream where God appeared to him and told him he will be his battle axe and evangelist to China in Asia. He woke up from the vision very elated and immediately began making preparations.

To be continued…
