Genesis 28:12 “And he dreamed and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”

Our focal scripture says, a ladder was set up. God is ever faithful and he sure knows how to take care of his children. He helped Jacob to organize a ladder to transport angels from earth to heaven and vice versa.

The ladder shortened the distance between Jacob and God by acting as a bridge. A ladder serves several purposes and I’ll like us to look at one or two.

First, a ladder is an instrument of transportation. It takes a man from where he is to where he needed to be. If there is anything you’ll need in the journey of this year and generally it is a ladder.

To transport men, it acts like a bridge from the present to the desired future. A connection between dreams and fulfilment. A bridge between prayers and answers. This is a very powerful instrument and we all need it.

The ladder gives you short steps to get to your destination from wherever you are. Now, what does a ladder represent in our contemporary days?

A ladder could be an information that is very vital to your success. A critical information that helps to birth your dream.

Genesis 37:15 “And a certain man found him and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him saying What seekest thou?”

Genesis 37:16 “And he said I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.”

Genesis 37:17 “And the man said They are departed hence; for I heard them say Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.”

Joseph was sent on an errand to go meet his brothers in Shechem but unfortunately when he got there, they had left. He was lost, confused and wondering.

He could have remained there if not for a ladder!

To be continued…
