BE THE MAN-6

BE THE MAN-6
1Samuel 17:8 “And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.”

…From yesterday…

The other critical characteristics of a man that will be a solution is that he must not be intimidated by the achievements of the enemy. The reason why many people don’t stand up to be counted is because of the achievements of the enemy.

The devil that comes against a man will always roll out his best warrior in the mold of Goliath, as we saw earlier. The reason why our Goliaths will always appear larger than life is such that we can be intimidated and quit the battle before it even get started.

Hear this:

1 Samuel 17:33 “And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”

Saul showed us the real reason why he and his soldiers were running away from Goliath. Saul and his men have been told of the exploits of Goliath right from when he was a youth. They must have seen the curriculum vitae of Goliath and as such felt intimidated.

Saul wasn’t just scared to death by the exploits of Goliath; he tried to communicate same to David as well. He told David that Goliath has been a soldier from his youthful days. Note that Goliath is now an adult and David was still a youth.

Beloved, when you listen too much to the “advertisement” of the enemy, it will not just demoralize you, it will intimidate and make you feel inferior him.

I’ve watched and listened to people who come to the place of prayer, only to be describing their challenges and most times I can’t help but wonder.

It surprises me how they’ve come to know so much about the enemy and nothing about their own God!

To be continued…
