BE THE MAN-2
1Samuel 17:8 “And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.”

…From yesterday…

The only challenge most times is that we feel they are looking for man and we join them in searching, rather than taking a stand as the man. It is high time you become the man!

Hear this:

Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying Whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

The above scripture was referring to Jesus. One of the reasons we will never recover from the impact of Jesus is because he stood up to be counted. He offered himself as the man, as a solution to the quest and questions being asked.

Goliath will keep talking and ranting until a man shows up. The problems and challenges in your life and destiny will not go away until “a man” shows up. The question is this, will you stand as the man to confront the giant?

I must also agree that to be the man is not a joke because he must possess certain qualities. Let’s take a look at some of the qualities this so called man must possess.

Goliath was asking for a man but David showed up. David was not the definition of the type of man Goliath was looking for but of course he was God’s choice. The first characteristics of the man that can stand up to be counted must be a relationship with God.

1 Samuel 17:26 “And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

The first set of words from David when he listened to Goliath changed the whole narrative of the war.
