1Samuel 17:4 “And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”

…From yesterday…

Any enemy that comes against a believer or a child of God will lose. The day he comes against you marks his end because he will be exposed! The gods that has been protecting him or her will run away. His defense will depart from him and he becomes bread for the believer.

I want you to have this assurance and never forget it. You should not be running from a defenseless foe. You must take authority and stand your ground.

Goliath like the devil is already a defeated foe. His coming against you makes him expose himself. Hear this:

Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

Jesus collected all power from the enemy, not some and delegated it to us. A believer is fearfully powerful. We operate with a dimension of power that terrifies the devil but unfortunately many don’t know this, and as such the devil still terrorize them.

David knew that the only thing the devil can do is to dish out empty threats. Always learn to look beyond the physique of the enemy to his weakness. The physicality of Goliath kept chasing them away and they didn’t even know there was an exposed part where a stone can penetrate!

Saul and his men thought Goliath was covered from head to toe but David saw the uncovered part. You must know who you are in Christ. Inability to understand this principle will make you susceptible to the antique of the devil.

Beloved, the enemy that comes against a believer has made himself vulnerable and must lose. Not only that, he will see shame because “shame” is another meaning of Goliath.

Hear this:

Colossians 2:15 “He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.” (MSG)
