John 6:10 “And Jesus said Make the men sit down Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down in number about five thousand.”
Psalms 110:1 “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”
Since you’ve been fighting solo, how many battles have you won?
Beloved, there is a sitting position a believer takes that makes God rise and fight on his behalf. This is a dimension in the spirit that is meant to make our Christian journey smooth and easy.
I once read an interesting story about a mountain climber. This man was a very skillful climber. He has been climbing for several years and knows his way around pretty well. But on a particular occasion, as he was climbing, he missed his steps and fell. He grapple to hold unto anything in sight to survive.
Finally, he was able to grab a rope. He held on tightly to the rope but the weight of his backpack and his own weight started telling on the rope. He felt the rope may give way but he held on all the same. After hours of struggling, he finally did that one thing he has been avoiding, he called out to God in prayer.
He screamed on top of his voice and said, “God help me!” He shouted that repeatedly for three times and like a dream he heard a strange voice.
The voice said, “I am God, my son let go of the rope. Rest and trust me!”
The guy couldn’t believe his ears, how can God ask him to release “his life line and rest?”
He just shouted back into the dark, “Is there anybody else there?”
The following morning, other climbers met his dead frozen body holding tightly to a rope just 3 feet above a soft flat surface on the rock beside a hollow. If he had let go of the rope he would have fallen on the soft flat surface and hide inside the hollow, safe from the cold!
A wise man said, “Let go and let God!”
