Luke 17:13 “And they lifted up their voices, and said Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”
They knew that an invocation of the name of Jesus summons the Master of situation and circumstances!
We saw in Philippians 2:9-11 that, the name of Jesus supersedes every other name. Whatever has a name must bow to the name of the Master. The ten lepers knew that leprosy has no choice but to bow to Master Jesus, so they simply called on him.
Anytime you call the name Jesus, you must know what you’re saying. The challenge most people have is that they call the name of Jesus in prayer because they “think” it is supposed to be used to end the prayer.
Friend, you can use it to end prayer as a vehicle for enveloping your requests to the Father, but I want you to know that, much more than that, it the believers authority. It is a gift to us to subdue contrary elemental forces that confronts us.
I want you to be deliberate and intentional about the usage of the name. It is the name that forces opposition to bow. The name of Jesus is the master of every other name. When it is released by a believer, demons, sickness, principalities and powers scamper for cover.
Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
The name of Jesus has the saving grace entrenched in it. However, it doesn’t just save from sin, it saves from diseases which includes leprosy. Those lepers understood this and they simply ask the Master to use his authority for them and they received their miracles.
Jesus is the Master and commander; nothing can resist his authority. Hear him:
Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
In order words, any other power that does not emanate from him is a phony.
Beloved, sickness, demons, challenges and the likes, knows Jesus as Master, why not introduce them to Him today!
