Luke 17:12 “And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:”
You cannot see ten men standing and frolicking together except there is something common that binds them together. Remember, “Birds of the same feather flock together”.
A common denominator between these guys was leprosy. If you check the ten of them, nine were Jews and one was a Samaritan. They do not have anything in common. As a matter of fact their hatred for each other spans over a thousand years. They were sworn enemies but leprosy brought them together.
They became united by a negative common cause. These association was a union of failures and low lives. They go out together, eat together and face their shame together.
Friend, which union or association are you because of situation and circumstances? No man can rise above his association. It is said that, “If a man walks with five millionaires, he will definitely become the sixth”.
It therefore holds that, “If a millionaire walks with five paupers, he will definitely become the sixth!”
Our association and relationships can either make or mare us. One wrong person in your life can take you out of destiny while a right person can connect you to a life of joy and fulfilment.
Beloved, do an audit of your relationships. If there are people you need to drop, please drop them fast. Always reevaluate your inner circle. The way that story ends shows that the Samaritan leper has been in the wrong company all along.
When they were healed he came back to thank Jesus while the remaining nine never did. This goes to show that he has been moving round with a group of ingrates. He doesn’t belong there in the first place, situations of life pushed him there.
I don’t know where life has pushed you against your will, but I pray for you today: You are coming out in Jesus name.
Every wrong union and relationships in your life are terminated now. The Lord will rescue you and set you among kings and nobles in Jesus name!
