1Kings 17:13 “And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.”

…From yesterday…

God always want to be number one in our lives. Hear Him:

Exodus 34:14 “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:”

God is a very jealous God. He doesn’t play second fiddle to anyone, anything or any being for that matter. He want to be number One in our lives and affairs. He want to always take preeminence.

His heart cry has always been, “Make me first”. The people that made him first always have the best of him and one simple way to know if he is truly first in our lives is by our ability to release what is in our hands to him first, no matter how important.

Anything He cannot ask for in our life is the “real first”! Sometimes when pastors speak like this, we feel he want to ask for seed; guess what that was the way the widow felt! But, spiritual things don’t run on emotions, they run on principles!

The widow didn’t like that, but God was about entering into a covenant of abundance with her and the corresponding law must be activated. Hear it:

Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”

God starts everything from the seed. He always demands a seed before he is “permitted” to release harvest! He had to put himself under that law when he wanted saving you and I.

He had to release a seed called “Jesus”; his only begotten son, so that you and I (others sons), can come to glory. If God puts himself under this law, what makes you think you can break it?

I checked that Genesis 8:22 again and discovered that the “earth is still remaining”! Permit me to use that phrase.

To be continued…
