1 Kings 17:12 “And she said As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die”
Beloved, our beautiful world and lives were molded out of a situation and occurrence that can be termed “hopeless”.
In Gen 1:1-3, God created the heaven and earth, even though the earth was void, and out of shape , God didn’t lose hope about creating a beautiful heaven and earth. He spoke into existence what He desire irrespective of what He saw and it came to be.
If God were like most people and especially like the widow of Zarephath, he definitely would have given up and ask the angels and other heavenly beings to forget about “Project earth”. If God had sat back and retorted to hopeless thinking, we probably wouldn’t be in existence today.
Like I said earlier, I believe God started the Bible with confusion, darkness and voidness to let you and I know that with Him, never say never. He is the God of the impossible. He built our world from a very chaotic situation and here we are today.
All through the Bible, we saw him doing same for men of different cultures, status, age and sex. He has the master code for turning impossibilities around for good. All you need do is trust him and never submit to the hopelessness demon.
The spirit of hopelessness keeps going around daily looking for whom to harass, assault and obsess. That was the spirit that caught up with Judas Iscariot that made him hang himself. He betrayed Jesus but he was not the only one. Peter also betrayed him, as well as the other apostles too.
Friend, deliver yourself from every hopeless thought. Learn to partner with God daily. As human beings, at one point or the other in the journey of life, the devil will unleash this spirit against us in one way or the other. But the onus is on you and I to resist him and put him under control.
