1 Kings 17:10 “So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink”
1 Kings 17:11 “And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.”
1 Kings 17:12 “And she said As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake…”
Abraham fell so much in love with Isaac and he couldn’t have access to certain things. He developed Isaac into an idol of some sort and that became his sacred zone.
He kept that zone under lock and key. Until God was able to penetrate that zone, Abraham couldn’t get the best of God. How do I know?
Genesis 22:16 “And said By myself have I sworn saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:”
Genesis 22:17 “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies”
The day Abraham finally “sacrificed” Isaac was the day God had that breakthrough and Abraham made God to swear! That was the day Jesus Christ, the very best of God, the choicest and most prized possession of heaven was released for mankind.
In 2 Samuel 24:24, David said he will never give to God something that cost him nothing. That was a man who understood what it means to yield every department of his live to the Holy Ghost.
The first thing Solomon did when he ascended the throne was to open his resource center to God, no wonder, he became the wealthiest man that ever lived.
I know you want their kind of results and wealth but can God have access to every area of your own life? What is your sacred zone?
It’s high time you stop complaining and yield all your members to HIM!
