1 Kings 17:10 “So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink”
John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
Beloved, when a believer gather sticks, he is gathering the word! He is assembling the required words that will birth his miracles. If you don’t gather wood, you cannot birth a miracle.
The gathering of wood is the process of meditation. No believer can survive without this process daily. To encounter kairos moments, we need to gather sticks.
Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success”
Joshua 1:8 depicts the process of gathering sticks and we are all enjoined to master the act. You cannot have good success without following this process.
Hear me; every miracle you’ll ever need is hinged on a word that God has already spoken. Your responsibility is to search for it, meditate upon it, vocalize it in prayer, receive instructions and return with answers.
The widow of Zarephath went out, gathered sticks and went back home to a continuous flow of miracles.
The process of gathering sticks is usually the most difficult part of activating a miracle for many believers. Difficult because they are not conversant with the wood (word).
You must come to a place where you have sticks for each area of your life and for every challenge that confront you, such that once you finish arranging it, God will have no choice than to send down fire!
The question is how conversant are you with the scriptures? That is the wood that must never leave your altar daily as a priest!
