ARISE-2
ARISE-2
1Kings 17:10 “So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink”
…From yesterday…
If Elijah had delayed; he might eventually get to Zarephath only to realize that the woman had had the last dinner with her son or are even dead. Delayed obedience could terminate miracles!
Many times when we delay, miracles pass us by and we come to the conclusion that God has not answered our prayer. Timing is critical to encountering the supernatural and you must never forget that.
At other times many people modify God’s instructions; they try to adjust it based on their own convenience, timing and understanding. Modifying a divine instruction is tantamount to disobedience as far as God is concerned. You cannot be smarter than God, if He says go to Zarephath don’t go to Jerusalem. Let me show you a man:
Genesis 11:31 “And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.”
The man Terah who happened to be the father of Abram set out for Canaan with his family, but he modified his dream along the line. He got to Haran and settled there. The place looks a bit comfortable and he felt why go to the Promised Land when this place looks “great”? This is how he ended:
Genesis 11:32 “And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.”
He died without getting to Canaan which is the Promised Land. Saul modified divine assignment as well and lost the throne to David.
Beloved, don’t let situations and circumstances make you modify your divine goals, maintain focus and never quit till you get to the Promised Land.
To be continued…
