UNLIKELY AND UNCOMMON HELP-3
1 Kings 17:9 “Arise get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.”

…From yesterday…

Friend, discernment is the name of the game! That is, the ability to see with your spiritual eyes. The grace to recognize what God can do with seemingly nothing.

Elijah rose up and went to Zarephath in search of a widow woman and he met his blessing. Oh, how many things we have lost just because we neglected and commonise our divine help.

Aaron and Mariam got to a point where they commonise Moses. They felt they are better qualified to be priests and prophets (Number 12). I’m sure all what was in Miriam’s mind was the picture of the day she took him in a basket to river Nile. She didn’t know that God has moved the little Moses into another realm.

Beloved, operate with discernment, that is a potent gift a believer cannot do without. If there is any prayer we must pray daily, it is that; “Lord, I receive grace to meet my destiny helpers and also receive discernment of spirit to recognize them”.

The problem of the Pharisees and Sadducees was that they didn’t discern Jesus. They even went ahead to plot against him and eventually murdered him. They did same to Joseph. It seems to me that men just like killing their future helpers!

As a believer, you must come to the understanding that God can keep your miracle in the hand of anybody. A little slave girl helped the mighty, rich and powerful Naaman recover from leprosy. A young despised shepherd boy bailed out a whole nation, including giant king Saul from the hand of Goliath.

We all must learn to operate with superior spiritual intelligence and vision. Sensitivity is paramount for continual flow of the divine and miracles in our lives.

Don’t ever come to a place where you realize that someone you’ve neglected and disregarded is actually the person destined to help you. Listen to the Holy Spirit every step of the way!
