1 Kings 17:9 “Arise get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.”

…From yesterday…

Friend, the major challenge of many of us believers is that, we try to reason out God.

The Holy Spirit once told me that, “Son, when you try to reason out your miracle, you limit and frustrate me!” That was profound! I was scared. I have since learnt my lesson.

Hear me, too much analysis will always lead to paralysis. All through scriptures we saw God doing some things that bewilders the normal, natural human mind. No wonder Paul said:

1Corinthians 1:27 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”

1Corinthains 1:27 “God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful.” (GNB)

You simply cannot beat God at His game. Our smartness is insignificant and inconsequential when it comes to what God want to do and whom he want to use. All we need do is believe and cooperate with Him. Hear what men said about Jesus:

John 1:46 “And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see”

It was more like saying, nothing good can come out of Nazareth and unfortunately he was not referring to any other but God Himself. Many people are stagnated in life because they didn’t recognize the person that God sent to them.

The wise men were probably called wise because they came to pay homage to a baby born inside a manger. A child that was born to some folks that used a manger as maternity home. What of if after seeing the star of Jesus they refused to enter the manger?

They could have reasoned that kings are supposed to be born in 7-star hospitals, but they saw beyond that, they discerned the King of kings!

To be continued…
