SLAY THEM-1

SLAY THEM-1
Nehemiah 4:11 “And our adversaries said They shall not know neither see till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease”

To slay as used here means to put to death, kill, destroy, end or terminate. This is a serious attack against a man. It could be a physical assault, a disease, frustration, depression, poverty or even business liquidation.

When the devil comes against a man full fledge, his aim is to maim, kill and possibly eliminate him completely. He doesn’t come around a man to joke, he means serious business. That is why you cannot allow him have a foothold anywhere around your life, destiny, family, ministry, career or business.

Nehemiah knew this, so he prepared his men well. They didn’t toy with the enemy neither dialogue with him. Hear this:

Nehemiah 6:2 “That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying Come let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.”

Nehemiah 6:3 “And I sent messengers unto them, saying I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down why should the work cease whilst I leave it, and come down to you?”

Nehemiah 6:4 “Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.”

Nehemiah 6:5 “Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand;”

When Sanballat saw that he couldn’t get Nehemiah and his folks, he sent and invited them to a meeting. He did that five times. Beloved, you must learn to do what Nehemiah did, he bluntly refused and continued working.

The devil is looking for an opportunity to strike and you must not give him that room. You must be sensitive and discerning. Watch where you go and with whom.

Remember always that, the devil is not joking, he is looking for who to slay so that he cause the work to cease.

To be continued…
