Nehemiah 4:11 “And our adversaries said They shall not know neither see till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease”

We are still looking at mixtures but with a little difference. Mixture generally talks about a corruption of what we are doing. It is a combination of different people or things.

If the devil doesn’t succeed in using people to mix up with what we are doing, his very next move is to try to corrupt it by introducing something that usually looks good but wrong. This strategy has worked for him but as believers we must be sensitive to this.

As believers, we normally don’t have problems with what is good, but the truth is that our theology shouldn’t be about what is good or right but rather about what “HE SAYS”!

If you use your intelligence to assess an issue and it looks right, you will run into error. Our yard stick for measurement and judgment must always be what God has said. It may not sound correct to men, it may not sound nice, it may not even sound current but as long as it is what God has said, we must obey it.

Don’t choose something fanciful that has been corrupted by the enemy. Let me show you these guys:

Jeremiah 35:3 “Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;”

Jeremiah 35:4 “And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:”

Jeremiah 35:5 “And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.”

The Rechabites were taken to church by a prophet and brought into the pastor’s office and given wine to drink. But there response baffled me!
