QUESTIONS FOR YOU-3

QUESTIONS FOR YOU-3
Nehemiah 4:2 “And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned”

…From yesterday…

God’s part is to release talents and resources, our part is to develop our capacity to receive. God will not give to a man what he cannot accommodate. He will not give a man what can destroy him. He has no problem deploying his vast resources and showering it on us but he always checks our capacity first.

Faith and our believe system determines for instance what we can draw from heaven. Hear this:

Mark 9:22 “And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.”

Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

The father of the sick boy in the above story approached Jesus to help his son but he made a very funny statement. He said he wouldn’t mind to receive help from Jesus if there is anything he can do. Jesus’ response was profound.

He told the man straight away that the issue is not if he (Jesus) can do anything, the issue is if the man has the capacity to receive (paraphrased). He rounded up that conversation by saying that: all things are possible to any man who has the capacity to believe for it!

Capacity is inner strength or energy that gives you staying power. It comes in different variants; spiritual, mental, emotional, relational and physical. You need a balance of this in order to fulfil your divine assignment.

Before Nehemiah started this venture, he had prepared himself and developed his capacity along each of these lines. He had prayed and strengthened himself.

Notice carefully that at no junction in his encounter with Sanballat did he lose his direction or sense of purpose.
