THE FOUNTAIN GATE
Nehemiah 3:15 “But the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the king’s garden, and unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.”
Immediately after the dung gate is the fountain gate. This is so refreshing and encouraging. Once we are done with the valley experience and the dungs have been cleared out from our lives, we step into the fountain of living waters.
The fountain gate talks about the personality of the Holy Spirit. The ever cleansing and refreshing flow of the rivers of heaven. An encounter with the Holy Spirit at this level of our Christian walk is what empowers us for a successful Christian life.
No man can live a godly life without the enabling force of the Holy Spirit. He is the energy and empowerment of the Father. He is the One that lives and breathes in us. Hear this:
John 7:38 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:39 “(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified”
The fountain gate speaks of the fullness of the Spirit of God in us; a well, springing forth from our inside. It is a well of the supernatural and joy. It is a birthing of the God life within us. A manifestation that cannot be rivaled by any other feeling.
No matter what has happened in our lives, joy will finally show up.
It is also encouraging to note that both the valley and dung gates are physically located in a valley but as you approach the fountain gate you begin to climb up the mountain again.
It doesn’t matter the low moments you have encountered, you are rising again. Very soon you will have another mountain top experience.
Friend, dry bones will live again. There is a lifting up for you.
