Nehemiah 2:4 “The king then asked me, “So what do you want?” Praying under my breath to the God-of-Heaven,” (MSG)

…From yesterday…

The first thing Nehemiah requested for was permission to go and build; which is very key. This talks about been sent to fulfil a mission and the timing as well. Friend, that vision or that project you’re about embarking on, are you sent? Did the king give you the go ahead?

Secondly, he asked for security. There is nothing you want to achieve that the enemy will not contend. The devil will strategically come against you to stop you so you must be adequately protected. Nehemiah asked for security so that he can successfully complete the assignment.

The third and final thing he requested for was resources. No matter how powerful your vision and aspirations are, without the requisite resources it will not take off. Provisions must be available for us in order to fulfil our assignment.

Nehemiah, carefully outlined those things and guess what?

Nehemiah 2:8 “…And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.”

Nehemiah 2:8 “…The generous hand of my God was with me in this and the king gave them to me.” (MSG)

Here is the interesting part, Nehemiah asked for all those things from the earth of an earthly king, a mere mortal like himself and it was granted, how much more the One who installs and removes kings!

The King of kings and the Lord of lords. The Holy One of Israel, the One who made the heaven and the earth. The One before whom everything and everyone bows.

Friend, go to God, ask for a go ahead on that project, request for security and all your resources as well. You have no reason to be stranded in life and destiny.

The King of the whole earth is our God and Father. There is nothing we ask of Him that He cannot provide.

Guess what? He has thrown that same blank cheque to you and I again today, so, “What do you want?”
