Nehemiah 1:3 “And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down and the gates thereof are burned with fire.”

…From yesterday…

When God looks at you even in that seemingly low state, He doesn’t see a remnant or survivor, what God sees is a man that is more than a conqueror. Hear Him:

Romans 8:37 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

In order words, you are far more than where you are now. It doesn’t matter what is happening around you at the moment, you are more than a conqueror. Christ has won that battle on your behalf, receive that verdict and make it your reality.

You’re not an object of pity, you’re not even a champion! A conqueror/champion is someone who is victorious in a contest, war or battle. But, “a more than conqueror” is one who sits at home, didn’t physically fight in the war but shares the spoil of war among the soldiers after taking what he wants!

Friend, no matter the challenge around you, you cannot be a victim, Christ has gone ahead, fought and won the battle, just receive it and enjoy the spoil of war. You are not a remnant, you’re not trying to survive, you are more than a conqueror. Don’t let anyone use that adjective for you ever again!

The second thing they said about those men was that they were in great affliction. That was the verdict of men about them but let’s hear what God has to say:

Job 36:15 “He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.”

1Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed”

The truth is that God has delivered us from every affliction. Whatever therefore represents an affliction is simply what you permit.

You must rise up and come against every form of affliction in your life and destiny today in Jesus name!
