1Samuel 11:11 “And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered so that two of them were not left together.”
God knew beforehand that life is going to be a battle ground and our ability to takeover and win battles will determine what eventually comes to us. Hear this:
Genesis 1:26 “And God said Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…”
Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
God made man after his warrior nature and then gave him a set of commands. The first set of commandments and instructions of God to man is a declaration of war!
Two words here that clearly shows a declaration of war are the words; dominion and subdue. These are two Hebrew words that are very confrontational. Dominion is the Hebrew word “radah” which means “prevail against” and “reign”.
While the word “subdue” is the Hebrew word “kabash” which means to disregard; positively, to conquer, subjugate, violate, bring into bondage, force, keep under, subdue and bring into subjection.
Sometimes we use the word “kabash” as relates to prayer. Friend, our coming to this planet is a total declaration of war against the devil and his cohorts who have decided to take residence on earth.
Our coming to this planet is meant to dislodge the enemy and establish and enforce God’s dominion mandate here. Next time you’re trying to run from a fight, you must remember this.
To be continued…
