1Samuel 11:11 “And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered so that two of them were not left together.”

…From yesterday…

Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force”

That doesn’t sound like a gentle man’s language to me, and for your information that statement was made by Jesus! In case you’re thinking he’s just a lamb lead to the slaughter, you should think twice! Hear this:

John 1:29 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

Revelations 5:5 “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

Yes he is a lamb, but if you think that is the only side to him, you’re yet to really get acquainted with our Saviour. He is not just a lamb, he is a lion! The lion nature is the warrior nature. Jesus fought unbelief, discouragement, betrayer, the cross and even death and the devil in order to resurrect. That is a warrior. Hear this:

Exodus 15:3 “The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.”

If God described himself as a man that fights war, then we his offspring can’t do less. God didn’t give birth to weaklings. He knew beforehand that life is going to be a battle ground and our ability to takeover and win battles will determine what eventually comes to us. Hear this:

Genesis 1:26 “And God said Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…”

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
