1Samuel 11:9 “And they said unto the messengers that came Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabeshgilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewaed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad”

…From yesterday…

Secondly, Saul said, “…the sun be hot”, he made reference to the sun. Why the sun? I want you to know that Saul was not just talking about the physical sun. It was something deeper than that! Hear these:

Psalms 84:11 “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Malachi 4:2 “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall.”

Matthew 17:2 “And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.”

Revelation 1:16 “And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.”

In order words, Saul was talking about God as Sun. Saul made that statement authoritatively because he knew the sun will show up the next day. He knew God will still be God tomorrow as He is today. He was so sure that God will always show up.

Here is the gist: Saul was telling them that by tomorrow the assistance of heaven and the Almighty God Himself will show up for them.

Friend, God has not changed, if He showed up for them, He will show up for us. I want you to know for a certainty that the help of God is already available in your future because God is there!

God will not bring you into a future where he will be absent. The breaking of a new day is an indication that help is already available.

To be continued…
