I want you to be the David of your generation. How did he respond to the threat of Goliath? He responded by confronting, fighting and killing the Philistine giant.

I’m sure if we are to interview Goliath today, he would have told us that he chose a wrong day and a wrong man to threaten. David matched him toe to toe and finished him off.

He threatened and cursed David in the name of his gods, David attaked him back with the name of his own God, the Almighty Himself. He intimidated him with his physical weapons, David released spiritual missiles. Goliath spoke words, David spoke words and had the last say.

Don’t keep quiet when the enemy attacks you with words; speak back! Make sure you have the last say! That is why you must load your spirit man with the Word of God!

Friend, that Goliath or Nahash as the case maybe, that showed up in your life, is not a death sentence, it simply means, there is a throne for you to mount and that enemy is simply your bridge to it.

David saw and heard Goliath but the only thing he cared about was the reward of killing the giant. Hear him:

1Samuel 17:26 “And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

David knew that every enemy and mountain before a believer is an opportunity to rise, so his response was right. The elders of Jabeshgilead didn’t know that the threat of Nahash was a promotion for anyone who will dare confront him.

Saul knew what David knew and his response was perfect. Friend, don’t cry in the face of the threat of the enemy. Rise and conquer him.

Crush the spirit of fear. Wipe your tears, respond correctly and come out victorious!
